President's Day

For Presidents Day my family plus Kathleen and Johnny from Blackfoot headed to Kelly Canyon for some cross country skiing. Here we all are. Except you can't really see Mom, Dad, or Ian. Ian's the little blob in the background between Kathleen and Johnny. We did a four mile loop but we split into two groups because Ian didn't really know how to ski and couldn't keep up. The big kids group and the Mom and Dad and Ian group met a little before the middle of the loop and skiied back to the lodge together. Apparently Ian had all of a sudden figured out how to ski and so things sped up. He's a little trooper! He went just about as far as the big kids and then had enough energy at the end to ski around a little more. After skiing we had a nice hot chili and rolls dinner at Mom and Dad's ward social and then headed home.
We are so happy to have made it up a sort of big hill without falling too much! Kathleen and Johnny from Blackfoot are in the background. They were so kind to come with us on our little adventure.
We told Mom we'd wait for her at a certain spot on the trail. Sam provided entertainment while we waited. This is a nice picture of him about to fall in the snow.
