Family Visit

My family came and stayed with us for a few days last week. It wasn't nearly long enough but we managed to have lots of fun. The boys frisbee golfed, we went to the zoo, strolled through Aggieville, ate doughnuts, saw the bison at Konza, hiked Konza, roasted marshmallows and played lots of games.

Getting ready to challenge Pops. He's the ultimate winner.

Yeah!

Even Madelyn got in on the frisbee action.

Ian's growing some muscles and definitely plays better than me now. Oh wait… pretty much anyone plays better than me.

A serious frisbee golfer always tees off with his tongue out.

Here's Madelyn getting ready to hike. She lasted about three steps with that back pack on and then handed it off to Pops.

Mmmmmm…backpack.

Super excited to go hiking.

Papa-razzi.

Explaining scientific things.

Madelyn sure loves her Pops.

Telling us her toes hurt. She suddenly grew out of her shoes. Sadly, she only has the one pair of tennis shoes so she just had to tough it out.

Chasing Pops.

Adam….

Gotta go potty Mom!!!!

Rory turned over a rock and found this creepy crawly.

Taking a turn at hauling Madelyn.

Madelyn also loves her Uncle Ian. It was so great having him here. She just followed him around the whole time and he was really great about entertaining her.

Two educated men picking their noses.

Toots stretching out her shoulder.

Thanks for coming family of mine! We miss you already.

Easter in Nebraska

We got to spend Easter with the Birch family! Madelyn had a blast playing with her cousins.

Wishing for snow.

Rory and Lily before the egg hunt.

I'm not sure if this basket was big enough for her.

Hmmmm….. where are those eggs?

Busy hunting.

She was pretty thrilled that there was candy in the eggs.

Ruby sharing an egg. What a nice cousin!

Team effort.

The support staff.

That Easter bunny got a little tricksy and hid some eggs higher than the girls heads.

Thanks for the fun Birchies!

Spring

I believe it is officially here… which is weird. Shouldn't there still be snow on the ground?

Madelyn is finally figuring out how to pedal.

We have a bunny that lives in our backyard. I'm surprised it sticks around. Madelyn chases it every time it shows its fuzzy little face.

I was excited to find out we have forsythia bushes!

Impromptu dance party. Yeah… we've got good moves.

"Fixing" her bike.
