Birthday and a Haircut

I got bored with my  hair so I chopped it off! I'm so glad I did! Here's my self portrait:

I also had a birthday. Opening presents was preeetttyy exciting.

See how excited they are!

Mmmmm. My cake. And Sam about to sneeze all over it... or something.

Photos Via Phone

Rory tested out the prowess of his phone's camera over the break. It's so handy and small compared to my big 'ol SLR. (But not as good of quality. I love you my dear Canon.)

Riding the Dream catcher lift at Targhee. The powder was beautiful! It snowed all day too so it was constantly fresh.

Consuming some lunch at the lodge.

Um... break from snowboarding. This picture is on our cross country ski trip in Teton National Park.

Antler Square in Jackson Hole.

Back to snowboarding. Pete shredding the gnar. (Blow it up big)

Waiting at the top of Dream catcher.

We finally got around to hiking Mary's Nipple! It was closed for most of the day but as soon as it opened we were up it. Fresh powder everywhere! (Or pow pow as Super Sam would say)

That peak is where we're headed.

The view from the top.

Suiting up.

Rory was one happy guy.

Please excuse the arm in this picture. My computer won't recognize changes I make to my pictures. The valley was completely fogged in while Targhee was beautiful and sunny. It was a cool view.

The Tetons on the way  home. How can they be so awesome? Thanks mom and dad and Laura for watching our Teeny so we could have two amazing days snowboarding!!!!

More Christmas Activities!

Here are even more pictures of our rockin' Christmas break! It was like one constant party.

Christmas day we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's to eat wonderful food and play games. Madelyn had a bit of a freak out and had to go outside to jump on the trampoline. Luckily she has a loving family that was more than willing to help with the jumping and entertaining.

Loving Sam.

Happy Laura.

Happy Dad.

This is not at the Grandparents house. Rory, Pete, and I went to Harriman State park for an 11 mile(!) cross country ski trip. I didn't realize we'd gone that far until we counted the mileage at the end. No wonder I was tired.

The birds weren't as plentiful this year but we still saw many beautiful swans.

I love the Tetons! They make my heart happy.

And so does Pete.

Going down a scary hill.

We went on a different cross country ski trip a few days later in Grand Teton National Park. This time Mom, Dad, Ian and Madelyn came with us.

We had to stop for a banana break.

I love the Tetons... have I said that already?

And this was just cute.

And this is because Rory needed a picture for a professional award he was getting. What an awesome husband!

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas! We spent the holidays at my family's house and had a blast!

First thing in the morning Madelyn found the candy canes Santa had left and went crazy on them.

Yay for no makeup pictures!

Sam may not actually be awake yet.

I got these Velcro fruits for me.... I mean Madelyn.

Now I can safely crash into trees!

Getting tickled by Pops.
