We got to go to Nauvoo this past week with Grandma Jo. Rory and I enjoyed it... the girls not as much.
They liked looking at the temple!
Hanging out with Grandma Jo.
And touching the temple.
Madelyn got to be the super special ticket collector for the horse drawn wagon ride. She was pretty pleased.
Two hot and tired girls waiting for their lunches.
Later in the day we enjoyed ice cold root beers courtesy of Grandma Jo.
June had to wait for hers.
The girls favorite part was the Pioneer Pastimes tent. It was the only part of the whole experience they understood. Haha. Poor kids being forced to learn about history.
June enjoyed licking my leg while her sisters played.
After wandering around old Nauvoo all day we had dinner at the Nauvoo hotel. It was a fun historic building that had a fairy house outside!
On the way home we stopped at the Kansas City Science Center. This is what the girls could get into. They loved it! We'll probably have to go back.
Since we've been home it's been too hot to do much of anything except have a small bike ride with Dad.
Lily got her first hair cut. She was very brave after she realized it wouldn't hurt.
