Oh So Domestic

We've been learning how to can. A couple in the ward were nice enough to pick us up some peaches and pears for us from a farm in western Idaho. Here we both are working hard:

The results! Yummmmmm!

Reffin Rory

Rory started reffing for the high school soccer games this week. So far he's done two games. His first game he grabbed two left cleats. I had to bring him his right cleat but didn't get there fast enough so he had to ref the first half in two left shoes. Poor guy.

I like going to the games to cheer for the ref and heckle the crowd.

Burns looking cool in gold and purple.

Kittens!

We found our kitten's kittens. There are four. Two light and two dark. So cute! We're grandparents!!

Bugged

Rory and I were out looking for our cat's kittens this evening when a praying mantis ran up Rory's leg. It was pretty cool to look at but Rory wasn't too thrilled to have it crawling up his chest so he flicked it off.

And then the cat ate it.

The End.

Harney County Fair

Fair week! This was actually my very first fair... that I remember. It was fun to walk around and see everything and the people watching was fantastic. My favorite was the piglet we saw.

Of course we ate fair food and got some yummy ''fresh squeezed'' lemonade that came from a jug.

Fair wouldn't be fair without a rodeo or two. One of the guys competing in the wild cow milking got run over by his cow... twice. Another guy got bucked off his bronco into the fence and split his head open. Good times.

And we saw our first horse race! That was exciting even though we didn't actually make any bets.

When we went to the rodeo we walked through the beer gardens to get in and we had to convince the bouncer that we were really older than 21 (we forgot our ID) and had to promise that we wouldn't drink. Haha. I guess looking young will be a blessing when we're 50.

It's getting colder here

Yesterday morning Rory and I woke up for work to find everything frosted over and the whole valley covered in fog. Brrrr!
