Every Day Life

Here's all the pictures that aren't enough to warrant their own post.

The girl's have discovered YouTube yoga videos and love them.

I took the girls on a "hike" on one of the decently cool days last month. It was only in the high 80's so it was bearable to move around outside.

The were thrilled.

Madelyn discovered that if you weigh June down with a rice bag she'll stay in one place.

Lily loves to dress up every time we go to the library.

Fuzzy June

This is what happens when June isn't weighed down by a rice bag.

Madelyn practicing her long jumps.

We've been spending a lot of time at the garden. June has to find any shady spot she can.

I feel like I'm constantly taking my phone away from certain people. Sometimes I don't get it fast enough and end up with surprise pictures.

Madelyn started 1st grade. She's loving it.

Rory's spent some quality time burning.

All the girls snugging their special blankies. The girls thought it was pretty funny that I still have mine. Perhaps it is. June was asleep so we just stuck her special blanky in there to represent her.

Rory in Kirtland

Rory went to Kirtland, OH for a plant physiology conference.

He got to visit the Kirtland temple with some friends and have interesting missionary discussions.

He got to zip line.

And hang out with his bestie Seton who our girls call Satan. Hahahaha.

He made some delicious cobbler in dutch ovens that everyone loved and devoured. Even the rich old donors. They were very impressed with his primitive cooking skills.

Alien visitation site.

They went on a beautiful hike.

Hanging out in the tree tops.

He learned how to use ascenders.

Teeny tiny panorama from a tree top observatory tower. This was at Holden Arboretum. Anyway, bottom line is I'm pretty sure this "conference" was just an excuse to party with his buds.

Rory and His Girls

Rory's taken the girls on various dates over the past few months.

He and Madelyn went on a progressive dinner bike ride. It was her first solo long bike ride and she did awesome. They ended up riding about 6.5 miles!

They had bruschetta first.

And then rode over to a pizza joint. The little girl in the background is a friend from Madelyn's kindergarten class who is now in her first grade class.

Last stop was cobbler at the park. Madelyn had enough energy left over to run all over the park.

Taking a break on the way home.

Madelyn and I went on a Mommy daughter date so Rory took Lily on a Daddy daughter date to the frog pond. The frogs are nearly as big as her.

They stopped and got refreshments on the way home.

Day at the zoo with Dad.

He also took the girls to Nation Day of the Cowboy.

What a great Dad!!

Topeka Zoo

We took the girls to the Topeka zoo a few weeks ago and it wasn't too hot!

They found some soft flowers and much fun was had.

Lily loved the tire swing.

Madelyn had fun with the trikes.

June had fun with her tongue.

We are a goooood lookin family!

Sweet Lily

We took a rest on some giant dung ball statues.

We actually did look at animals too.

See!

And of course Madelyn found something to climb.

It all ended up too exciting for June and she had to take a little nap.

After the zoo we had a picnic lunch and rode the train. The girls loved the train ride so much that we did it twice!

Blow this one up big.

June loves her Daddy.

It was a very successful trip. No melt downs, no melting from heat and no one told anyone else that they were the worstest!
