A Visit From Grandparents

Well, first, this is our very first zucchini from our "garden". Our real in the ground garden died so we started over with a bucket garden. It's doing much better.

We had Grandpa O'Connor and Grandma Sherri come visit us this past week. Madelyn adored the extra attention.

We visited the K-State gardens.

Lily had a melt down after a flower whacked her in the face and had to be placated with graham crackers.

We ate a lot of cherries.

We went to the zoo. There's a baby chimp!!

Lily spent the whole time trying to eat her stroller.

We also explored Aggieville but took no pictures. There's this cool little 6 bar stool burger place that was a lot like Crystal's in Starkville. Anyone remember that?

Thanks for the great visit O'Connors! Come again!

Our Fourth

We didn't go to any big fireworks show this year but we did have a fun little family friendly show in our driveway. Some friends from the ward pooled their fireworks with ours for a fantastic, mostly noise free show.

Sparklers were a hit.

Even Lily liked them.

We also did Snakes. The kids thought those were pretty fascinating.

Madelyn and her cheese face.

She was very interested in the part where Dad lit the fireworks.

Poppers were the favorite item of the night.

Madelyn's little friend Addison tried to help her get some ear plugs in.

It didn't work.

Madelyn's other favorite firework was the Poopy Puppy. I must admit it was entertaining.

Happy Fourth of July!

In other news, we have a beautiful lily blooming behind our trash cans.

We also have four little cucumbers growing! Madelyn's pretty proud of them. She shows them to everyone that comes over.

Lily is into eating everything she can get her hands on.

And last but not least, Madelyn has a fantastic Daddy.

Fake Birthday Party

We had some friends over to celebrate Madelyn and their little girl's fake birthdays. We did pool and sprinklers and cupcakes. We also got eaten alive by mosquitos. I love Kansas!
