Sunday S'mores and Other Things

We went to a baptism on Saturday and Madelyn was running wild through the halls of the church ( I know, what kind of parents let their kid do that?). Aaanyway, she ended up running full tilt into a table and gave herself a pretty good bonk.

Here's a baby bunny that lives in our back yard. It's cute to watch but it better leave our garden alone.

We had s'mores for a treat tonight. Madelyn was pretty excited!

Lily wished she could have one.

What a good dad to help his girl.

And once the girls were in bed we had a party. Wahoo!

Bike Trailer!

Oh wait, before the bike trailer: Some cute pictures of Lily smiling. She was super happy after her nap today.

This picture is totally blurry but it makes me laugh. She's doing a dance because she's so happy about her new bike trailer. We bought it yesterday and she wanted to go for a ride so bad but it rained all day. So today the first thing she said was "let's go for a bike ride!!" but we made her wait until after church and lunch and naps. Ergo, happy dance when she finally got to go for her ride.

Madelyn and the beloved bike trailer.

Hanging out in the back of the car while dad gets everything ready.

Mom's ready.

Almost ready… just gotta get that last booger.

Lily's not too sure about this arrangement.

Off we go!

Wet Sunday

We've been getting a lot of rain lately. Madelyn loves it because it means lots of puddles to jump in.

Lily laughed and laughed about Madelyn running through the puddles. It was super cute.

A Taste of Kansas

We went to the Taste of Kansas festival in Wamego this week. It had a lot of good info and we learned that "if you think Kansas is boring, you're not doing it right". We also ate some delicious BBQ. But the highlight of the whole event was this little train that ran around the park.

Madelyn says "It wasn't scary at all!!".

A long, long climb.

Worth the effort.

I tried taking a self portrait but my arms weren't long enough.

Madelyn running away from Daddy's new toy.

A lawn mower! Our yard looks so much better. Now it's patchy and mowed instead of patchy and scruffy.
