More Stuff

We've been going to the park a bit more lately since it's usually now only in the 80's or low 90's instead of past 100. But it's still so hot that mostly the girls just sit in the shade with me.

Lily pushing one of her little friends around. She could only push to the left so they just went in a circle.

We had donuts one day because Madelyn accomplished a goal. She climbed the door jamb and touched the ceiling. Haha.

Aaaaaaand then we had donuts the next day because the local donut store had a birthday and were giving out free donuts. Plus the Gunter girls were there. Besties!

Odds and Ends

Here are a few phone pictures:

Reading bedtime books with Dad.

Oh no! Dinosaur exhibit at our Discovery Center.

Madelyn wearing a dress my mom made for me when I was 4ish.

We've been taking lots of bike rides to the botanical gardens. Lily thinks it's groovy.

They love messing in the fountain.

I said "Sit together and look cute".

And it ended up like this.

Then Madelyn wanted to take a picture of me.

Lily saying hi to a bug.

We also visited the splash pad one last time. It's been a good summer of splashing but I think we might actually be getting to cooler weather soon.

Aaaaaaand!!! Madelyn started preschool! Woot! We are both very excited about this.

Mushroom Rock State Park

We got to see one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas this past weekend. It was a bunch of big rocks. Hahahaha.

Maybe they're fossilized dino poos?

There was a bridge too so it was extra cool.

Lily was not a fan of all the grass. She might be living in the wrong state...

The girls sure had a great time climbing all over these rocks. We don't get many big rocks like this in Kansas. I guess that's why they're one of the eight wonders.

And Rory really loved the rocks too. This is his first outdoor rock climb since we moved here.

"It's too steeeeeeeep!"

Good thing she has a helpful Daddy.

The rocks were all carved up. This was my favorite one. It was on the bottom of a high overhang so it took some dedication (And a big stick?) to do it.

Lily learned some rock climbing basics.

And we had a rest.

Oh look! I was there too.

On the way home we saw this old farm that Rory really like. Classic prairie scene I guess.
