There weren't shoes small enough for Ian so he climbed bare foot. His feet were black afterwards.

Climbing Competition!

This Saturday Rory had a climbing competition at his bouldering gym. I went and watched and took some pictures until my batteries ran out. It was lots of fun to watch him and the other guys there climb. There were some amazing climbs and some amazing falls. We don't know where Rory placed because we went snowboarding instead of going to the awards ceremony. But he had lots of fun and that's what counts.

Rory and his climbing buddy Ryan go mostly every week to Sticks and Stones where the climbing competition was.

The whole family turned out to watch Rory climb. Look how excited Ian was to cheer his brother in law on!

President's Day

For Presidents Day my family plus Kathleen and Johnny from Blackfoot headed to Kelly Canyon for some cross country skiing. Here we all are. Except you can't really see Mom, Dad, or Ian. Ian's the little blob in the background between Kathleen and Johnny. We did a four mile loop but we split into two groups because Ian didn't really know how to ski and couldn't keep up. The big kids group and the Mom and Dad and Ian group met a little before the middle of the loop and skiied back to the lodge together. Apparently Ian had all of a sudden figured out how to ski and so things sped up. He's a little trooper! He went just about as far as the big kids and then had enough energy at the end to ski around a little more. After skiing we had a nice hot chili and rolls dinner at Mom and Dad's ward social and then headed home.
