Some of you might not know it but I have a sister. Her name is Laura. We really are related. I recently got in contact with an old friend and she told me I didn't have any pictures of Laura on my blog and I looked.... and she was right! How sad! So here are some pictures of my only sister. She's lots of fun and I love her pretty brown hair.
Rory and I bought climbing gear this summer and took Sam to Paramount Rock to try it out. We're not dead so it must be fine. Rory nearly stepped on the grandad of all rattle snakes though. (Ten rattles long!) He's happy that it didn't bite him. The climb was good. Lots of big hand holds for spazzy people like me. And I only got stuck a little bit. I think the guys next to us thought I was silly. They seemed a bit more skilled than me. But Rory rocked the rock. Har har. Anyway, if anyone wants to climb let us know! Rory's dying for climbing buds.
We went to an Ecology conference in Albuquerque. There were neat mosaics everywhere! (And a tortoise) Driving to Albuquerque in one day is too much. Especially if you drove all day the previous day and broke down in Boise at 9:30 at night. I don't think we'll do it again.
We stopped by Dad O'Connors while we were in Oregon. We got to see the ocean! I dipped my toes in but it was way too cold for much else. There were also seals and rose gardens and cool rock formations.
Rory convinced me to ride down this tiny path to the beach to get a break from riding in the car. I nearly died! Well... not really but it was an experience. I've never mountain biked before and didn't have any technique. I pointed my bike down and tried to stay on. Good times.
