Adam's achieved double digit status! We had a great family party that included lots of pizza and yummy pumpkin empinadas from taco time. Ruby was there too and she was super cute! I tried to draw Darth Vader but it didn't turn out to well. He looks a little retarded. But it was a first attempt so I don't feel too bad.
We went on a very very small hike to Sheep Falls with Kathleen and her new boyfriend on Saturday. The falls were beautiful and Rory found a hole in the rocks which kept us all entertained for a while. There was snow on the ground! I'm not sure I'm ready for another six months of winter.
On Saturday Laura, Jessie, and I went out to take pictures of the pretty fall colors that finally arrived. Today it snowed. I must have blinked or something because I think I missed fall.
Clever boys. I think maybe they had too much time on their hands. Pete recently sent home some pictures of his mission experience so I thought I'd put some up. He seems to be a happy boy in Brazil. He'll have been out a whole year next month. He's getting so big! 
I'm so glad the spreading of the gospel is in this boys hands.

A run in with the Brazilian mafia?

Rory, Mom, and I hiked the Teton Crest Trail a few weeks ago. It was incredible!!! It was a 44 mile hike and we took five days to hike it. We went about ten miles a day which was a nice leisurely pace. The views were great and the weather was great and everything was wonderful.
Allergies were a problem.

Cooking dinner at our first camp site. Moose Lake. We saw a moose there. It was pretty far away though. The tent space was slanted so we spent a night sliding all over the place. All three of us slept in a two and a half man tent. Luckily we're all small.
We were all pretty tired by the end of the first day. Luckily after that our tiredness didn't really get any worse. It didn't get better either. Rory was tired too. You just can't tell from this picture.
Day two started out with a walk across a stone bridge. We found this really neat cave where a creek runs sometimes. It was dry when we found it so we explored a little. No bears. Mom and I felt like Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade in this picture.
Yay for National Forests!
Dipping our toes in Marion Lake during our lunch break. This lake was gorgeous! And there were tons of pikas.
A yellow bellied marmot! We saw tons of these on the hike. Some were all black. They looked like little monkies. We also saw pikas, a big horned sheep, and martins.

We've almost made it to the top of Hurricane Pass! The view of Battleship Mountain from here was spectacular!
We got caught in a storm on top of Hurricane Pass. It was freezing cold! Luckily it only lasted about fifteen minutes and then the sun returned.
Here we are being cold on top of Hurricane Pass. We took this picture quick like gazelles and then speedily hiked down the mountain in case more storms were coming. None did so we got nice and hot on the way down.
