Easter

I forgot my camera for Easter so these are my dad's picture. The big kids (Rory, me, Jessie, and Villhem) got to hide the baskets this year. Rory climbed the swing to hide Adam's basket in a special place. It took him a while to get it down. Haha.

Rory loves Easter! Sooooo much candy.

Saturday

Rory and I had a fun Saturday this week. We started the day by heading to the Jackson Pass to give a last hoorah to the snowboarding season. Rory did a great jump (see video). The snow wasn't nearly as powdery as the last time we went but still fun. It was much easier to control your board.

Kissy picture!

Then we went to Thai lunch (Yum!). After lunch we went to the rock climbing gym with Jessie and William. It was great with not too many people there.

Reaching! My arms and hands hurt now.

Rory was adventurous and tried a 'dyno'. He missed his mark, though, and fell on the mats. It was fun to watch.

And that was our Saturday!

Moose Creek

On Saturday Rory and I went skiing on the Moose Creek trail. We skiied all the way to Wyoming! I'm at the Idaho/Wyoming border in the picture.

Of course, it didn't take long to get to Wyoming because we're speed demons.
It was a beautiful trail. The snow was pretty sticky, though.

Big News!

Rory and I realized the other day that most of our friends are pregnant now or have already had babies and we decided to jump on the bandwagon. So we bought a car!! It's sort of like a kid.... I think it's cute and can't stand to think of him getting hit by a car... ok, it's not really that much like a real baby. He's a 2009 Nissan Versa hatchback and had 57 miles on him when we bought him. His name is Chaucer although sometimes we call him the man mobile since Rory gets to drive him to work.

Goal Accomplished!

Rory and I have wanted to snowboard the Jackson pass for a few years now but never got around to actually doing it. This year we finally did! We went with our friends Wade and Katie and their little baby Aubrey. We just bundled her up and rolled her down the hill. Actually, we took turns babysitting her in the car. This top picture is where we hiked up to at the beginning of the run.
Looking down the hill to our destination. The whole run ended up being about eight miles long. On average it took us 40 minutes to get down. We did about three runs. By the end of the day my legs were so shot I could hardly control my board. It was great!

Wade and Katie being super excited to get going.

We were excited too.

The powder was soooo deep! It was really hard (for me) to stay up. But it wasn't bad falling down because it never hurt. It was getting up that was the problem.

Jackson Hole

We went to Jackson Hole on Monday for some fun family skiing. (And snowboarding). I was charged with teaching Laura and Sam how to snowboard. Sam took to it like a natural and I'm sure Laura would have to if she hadn't knocked herself silly on the first run. Poor girl. She face planted so hard she gave herself a nose bleed. The top picture is her recovering from the blow.

Ian really enjoyed it. He liked going fast and even tried a few jumps!

Here's Sam being super smooth on his board. Well, it's Pete's board really. Sam was carving his first run. Sadly towards the end of the day he fell hard on his bottom and got a headache.... concussion through the bum?

Go Laura Go! She got carving a little bit and looked good doing it.

Wipeout! I love the look of frustration. (Those are dad's legs, he was there having a good time too) ((And so was mom)). Thanks Sara for letting Laura use your board!

Skiing

Rory and I went cross country skiing this weekend with Jessie and William. We went to Kelly Canyon and it was beautiful. And, of course, we brought life savers. What's cross country skiing without life savers? We both had lots of fun and hopefully Jessie and William did too.
