March and More

I finally got all the pictures on my phone to the computer. So here's a few of what we've been doing lately.

Girl hike along Wildcat Creek.

Madelyn figured out how to ride her bike without training wheels.

Hanging out with Hayden.

City Park.

Going to the Purple Park with friends.

Another girl hike!

Stagg Hill Park.

Madelyn's a monkey bar pro.

Tending the garden.

We got some plants for our front yard.

Easter!

It's finally egg hunting time!

After the egg hunt we played some soccer.

She'll get it one day.

Dad showing us all how it's done.

And that's it!

Girl Hike

It got seriously warm last week! So the girls and I revisited a hike we tried a few weeks ago. We didn't get to finish last time because Lily had a poopy diaper. But this time we had hiking success!

Excited to start.

Madelyn was our pack mule. She carried all the snacks and water.

There were some serious steps!

Taking a rest.

We made it to the top! It's a huge MANHATTAN sign.

After we got down the hill we decided to play at the park for a while. I could get used to this kind of weather in February.

Garden

We rented a community garden plot this year. Hopefully we'll be able to grow some stuff. It might be kind of embarrassing if we can't. From what I could tell our plot is surrounded by veteran gardeners.

The bear is Cookie Bear. He's Madelyn's preschool's class pet. She got to take him home for the weekend and insisted on taking him everywhere. I think he enjoyed the garden thoroughly.

Checking out our spot. It's not been tilled yet.

Lily found some leftover gourds at a different plot and was very interested.

Happy Birthday Rory Plus Snow

We celebrated Rory's birthday last week. He keeps getting older somehow. I'm staying the same age.

The girls loved helping him open his presents.

I thought I'd take a Dad shot.

Oh look, I was there too.

We actually got snow! Madelyn and Dad checked out all the squirrel tracks in the back yard.

Lily slid.

We made a few snow angels.

Looks like Rory's enjoying a visitation from a snow angel.

Last Pictures of the Year

Goodbye 2016! But before it goes, here's a few pictures of what we've been doing:

We went on a bike ride/ hike to the highest point in Manhattan.

The girls and I did a little hike in the freezing cold. Lily wasn't happy about it.

The city of Manhattan said that anyone who wanted a free Christmas tree could come cut one down at a park they're trying to clear of junipers. So we did. There were donuts!

We made the traditional kiss ball.

Madelyn celebrated her half birthday at pre-school.

We had a snow storm and the girls took full advantage of it. It may be the only snow we see this winter.

Christmas cookies.

I made a sudden trip to TX for my grandma's funeral. I hitched a ride with my parents to CO afterwards. On the way we did a lot of snap chat.

Rory and the girls were in Colorado so he could do some research. My sweet Aunt Sara watched the girlies for a night and then we headed over to Fort Collins to meet up with Rory.

Hanging out at the Fort Collins Discovery Museum.

Purple greenhouses at Rory's research facility.

Lily having fun in the townhouse we stayed at.

We decorated for Christmas.

And then we had Christmas! Rory was a little confused about his present.. turns out it was for me!
