Pumpkin Patch

We have a cute little pumpkin patch here in town that the girls have been dying to go to. It finally stopped raining for a day so we took them.

Both the girls loved the giant jumping pillow.

And the tube slide.

The hay ride was pretty fun too.

They also had a giant plastic slide that we all enjoyed.

These two are goofballs.

June even managed to have a bit of fun.

They had these giant tubes set up on tracks so you could race each other. Lily was too small to get hers going.

So she rode with me and almost got stepped on a lot.

Happy Rory.

Don't let the cuteness fool you. She was not happy about the hay ride.

June's First Campout

We took the girls camping with our friends the Gunters this past weekend. I'm pretty sure they ate their weight in s'mores and burned anything they could find. It was a successful trip!

Lily and her Best Friend Hayden having fun in the hammock. June not so much.

Happy sisters.

Dad and June.

Lily looking like a Who.

Sweet Madelyn.

It was pretty cold the whole time but June kept warm in lots of blankets and layers.

Taking a break from the craziness to have a bit of a snug.

Playing with the campfire.

Hayden having a hotdog cigar.

Family Hike

It's finally cool enough to go outside. We decided to go for a little hike along the Kansas River. We only sort of got eaten alive by mosquitoes.

The girls having a snack break while taking in the views.

Deciding which way we should go.

We found a dragonfly that was trying to dry out its wings. It was very happy to hang out with Madelyn for a while.

The hike ended at a park. June and I watched the girls play.

Rory got in on the action too.

Walk to the Garden

I love that the girls love going to the botanical garden. We spend a lot of time there.

Lily thought it was pretty funny that she got water all over her face from the fountain.

Both girls going "ouch!" after poking their fingers on that thistle.

Carrying on a grand old tradition.

She's gotten quite a bit taller than her friend.

They decided that they wanted to run laps around the rose garden. I think they got up to about 17 laps!

Watching her sisters run was exhausting.

Kansas City

We took the girls to Kansas City a few weeks ago and enjoyed lunch at Fritz's. They deliver your food via train! It was a big hit with the two older girls. Well, the train was. They didn't care so much about the food. Rory and I liked it!

Lily eagerly awaiting her food.

Afterwards we went to Science City and let the girls run around. Poor June had to stay strapped to mom.

They colored masks.

And visited the mystery hotel. Half their bodies disappeared!

They had lots of fun being archaeologists.

There were bounce houses set up outside so we spent some time there as well. June conked out.

On the way home we stopped at DQ for some ice cream.

Madelyn informed us later that night that it was the worst day ever and she didn't get to do anything she wanted to. Hahahahahaha. Ha.
