A few saturdays ago Rory's mom came to visit so we decided to go on an adventure with her. Our first stop on our adventure was the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. There was a visitors center and a museum there. This is Rory and mom walking up to the visitors center. There were soooo many mosquitos out there!

Our second stop for the day was Peter French's round barn. He was a settler in the area who owned (or claimed ownership of) a lot (a LOT) of land. Apparently when other settlers moved in he didn't want to share that land. He wasn't very well liked and was eventually murdered. But he built a cool barn!

I couldn't get a good picture of the inside but this is kind of what it looked like. It was really big. It's hard to imagine buildling this without any modern machinery. (The pictures are of the middle supporting post.)

Last of all we went to Diamon Craters. It was kind of like Craters of the Moon except less rocky and cavey.
