More Madelyn

I can't resist. She's about the cutest thing I've ever seen!

First time in a car seat. She hated it! But eventually she calmed down and fell asleep. Nice.

Leaving the hospital. Hopefully I stop looking so tubbalardy.

She has her grandma's love of yoga already. This one is goddess pose. The blanket she's on was made by her great grandma Murdock who made me one very similar to this when I was a baby. Thank you grandma!!!

Tummy time with daddy.

And since we're talking about babies I thought I'd post these. This apartment complex is right behind our house and it's actually where I lived when I was a teeny tiny baby. Provo's a good place for babies.

Our little Madelyn Wren or Big Girls You are Beautiful!

Here is the low down. Emily was a week overdue with what may be a bigger baby. Tuesday night we went to the Orem Community Hospital so Em could be induced. After 29 long hours of labor and hunger as Emily states. Little Madelyn Wren came into our family at 8lbs 12oz and 21inches long. She's a chubby baby. Wow, we're like adults now with a real family!!!

Here is Em the day before going into the hospital. Doesn't she look great.

Here is our little Madelyn, me holding her for the first time. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. She is so adorable.

My lovely and amazing amazon warrior wife with her cute daughter. So this picture is after Em ate a wonderful lunch and getting several hours of sleep.

Uncle Ian"Baby Big Guy" with Madelyn for the first time. Ian was great and wanted to hold her forever. What a great Uncle, will he be pesty???

Uncle Adam enjoying his turn with Madelyn. Can you believe it two uncles under 13, crazy.
And Granny Jann with her beautiful daughter. Emily did great through the whole thing. If anyone is down in the Orem area and is going to have a baby go to the Orem Community Hospital, they are awesome and take very good care of the new moms, and dads. Did I mention they make great cookies... More pictures to come I'm sure.

I'll Take the High Road...

We went to the Scottish Festival at Thanksgiving Point this weekend to watch Pete compete. He looked so manly in his kilt.

Look! Laura actually has her eyes open. I tricked her by taking one picture and then immediately taking another one. The first one her eyes are closed.

All the bands came together and played a song for the opening cerimony. It was incredibly loud.

Here's the Henry's Fork Pipe Band in their individual competition. I love watching this girl. She twirls her drumsticks so well.

In between competitions we watched the athletic competitions. This guy was throwing 56 lbs 18 ft into the air!

The wind really picked up in the afternoon. We actually saw a few people get taken out by a flying tent! Hopefully they'll be ok. I was just glad that most people weren't wearing their kilts in the traditional manner on such a breezy day. Even so we still saw a few things we'd rather not have.

Bring Your Wife to Work Day

I went out to Rory's site with him yesterday to help finish some rain shelters for his project. He's watering the desert. I was wishing for dessert. There is a difference even though some fortune cookie companies haven't figured it out yet.

"Friends are life's desert"

On the way home we saw these two little badgers. They were ferociously cute. Even though there was a lot of hissing Rory still has all his fingers so Ian doesn't need to be freaked out.

Memorial Day

We took a picnic lunch up to Sundance on Monday. There was a mountain bike race going on so we spent some time watching. These guys were crazy! We only saw one wipe out but it was spectacular.

On the way home we stopped at Bridal Veil Falls. We didn't hike it, though, because I was wiped out from hiking all over the Sundance mountain... pregnancy. Sheesh.

Memorial Day isn't Memorial Day without a barbeque.

Rory set up the slack line in our front yard and had fun figuring out how to do it again.

I had fun messing with the camera and not falling on my bum.

Happy Memorial Day!

A Very Rainy Visit

We went to Hogle Zoo on Saturday in the pouring rain! My rain coat wouldn't zip up over my massive belly unless I undid the pit zips so I got pretty wet. But we still had lots of fun. My favorite was the baby elephant!!! Sadly she was outside so we didn't hang out with her for too long.

Some of the inside animals we saw.

Actually, the rhinos were outside.

Siiiid.... you've been a very naughty boy.... (If you haven't watched the youtube clip 'animal crackers' you should)

These guys really wanted some.

Fruit.

Just like a fruit bat.

I Like Fat Boys

I'm sitting here waiting to go to a haircut appointment and thought I'd post hopefully one of my last bellylicious pictures. 36 weeks and counting!
