Running near Mesa Falls

We went up to Rexburg again this past weekend so I could pay money to run. But before the run, we hung out with family. Yay!

Mom checking out the fruits of her labors.

Pretty Rose

Pretty Gimpy Adam

Ian was so wonderful and played with my baby lots and lots.

Haha. I love this picture of Ruby.

Big boys playing soccer.

Madelyn wondering who that other baby is.

Saturday was the Mesa Falls Marathon and Half Marathon. I ran the half, Sara ran the whole dang thing! Jake was so nice to ride the last part with her to keep up morale.

Waiting for the runners.

Waving to my Teeny. Rory says I run like a T-Rex. Awesome.

Sara the stud finishing her marathon!

Afterwards I just wanted to sit on the ground for the rest of the day. ( I didn't... I had to walk to the car to go home.)

Tracy Aviary

We went to see The Birds! Not Alfred Hitchcock style. These were nice and mostly caged birds.

I don't think Madelyn cared too much about it. She was just hot and sweaty.

Baby flamingo! They're about the ugliest cute thing I've ever seen.

After the aviary we let Teeny run around for a while. She really wanted to jump in the lake but the best she got was running over this bridge a few times.

Rory caught these hummingbirds fighting.

And this has nothing to do with the aviary but everything to do with yumminess.

Visit to Rexburg

Since Rory left Madelyn and me for a few weeks we decided to go home to Rexburg. We've done many fun things while we were here.

We went to a crash up derby.

Sam, Adam, and Ian ran the money fun run and everyone got a dollar!

We had some cousin baths. So cute!!

Teeny, Ian and I went to Egin Lakes and messed around with the Richards.

We've been out to Grandma and Grandpa Murdock's a few times to visit them and Sara, Ruby and Rose. Ian was such a good babysitter! We got to eat so many delicious peas fresh from the garden. Yum!

Happy Fourth!

We hung out with Kipp and Kathleen on the Fourth. The city puts on a Freedom Festival every year so we hit up Colonial Days.

Rory being a colonial soldier.

Kipp and Kathleen being colonial delinquents.

Oh look! Rory being a colonial soldier again.

Messing around at Kipp and Kathleen's before the fireworks. They have a perfect view of the Stadium of Fire fireworks. We didn't even have to pay! Nice.

Happy Birthday Teeny Girl

Wow! I seriously can't believe I have a one year old. I know everyone says it goes so fast but I didn't really believe them. Especially during the up-all-nighters. But here she is, one year old! She's weened and sleeps through the night and is basically out of the  house. (har har)

We celebrated her birthday a few times. The first was at Heidi and Jared's. Heidi was awesome and built Madelyn her first ever cake! They also gave Teeny a really fun barn toy.

The Cake... and Rory.

Sadly there was no smashing, only tears. All that attention was a little much I guess.

Then we celebrated at my parents house.... twice! Here's Madelyn pretending she's five.

Hanging out with Great-Grandma Johnson.

Oh yeah, it was also Super Sam Samchez's birthday. He accidentally missed his own birthday celebration and had to join Madelyn's.

He Is Iron Man

Enjoying a book with Great-Grandpa Johnson.

Trying to decide if Iron Man is really a good guy or not.

She got so many cute and wonderful presents but her favorite to snuggle with was this sweet little chair from Uncle Kipp and Aunt Kathleen. Thanks!!

Lighting the final birthday cake. Madelyn didn't actually get to enjoy this one because she was in bed.
