Hello Idaho

We love being back in the West!! Rory bikes to work now.

We've hiked a lot.

Sometimes more successfully then other times.

We've been to the zoo.

And taken swimming lessons.

And hiked even more! The weather has been beautiful. No humidity! Hardly any bugs! We can sit in the grass! We love Idaho!

Goodbye Kansas

Well, we moved. A while ago. But here are a few pictures.

Here we are taking down the bunkbed.

Getting all ready to leave. Lily rode in the truck with Rory. Madelyn and June hung out in the car with me.

On our way to Idaho we stopped at a little park for some lunch. The girls were all very happy to get out of the car.

It was exhausting work traveling so far. Poor June got sick during the trip and puked a few times in the car. She handled it very well though and Madelyn survived. Madelyn was pretty freaked out by the puking. Thank goodness hotels have washing machines.

Happy Birthday June!

Baby June turned 1! She may not be very big but she sure is cute. Her favorite things are loving on her sisters, getting into everything, being outside and her blanky. She weighs 14 lbs 10 oz and is 25.5 inches long. I think she's putting all her effort into growing her hair.

She was very happy about her presents. She thought they were fun to push around.

Luckily she has big sisters who know how to open presents. They were very happy to help.

Yay! Stacking cups.

She did not approve of her candle. She ended up smacking it out. Luckily no fingers were burned.

Tasting the cake.

She never did really smash it. But she licked it a lot.

We ended the party with naps.

Omaha Zoo

We took a day trip up to the Omaha Zoo with the Gunters. What an incredible zoo! The girls loved it. They were super troopers too. It was a lot of walking.

June occasionally rode in the wagon. She didn't want to sit though so when we got tired of worrying about her falling out we carried her. The older two girls ended up using the wagon more than June.

Riding the lion pack.

The penguins were a definite favorite. Lily had to go back to look at them again after everyone else had moved on.

Bunch of monkeys.

Dad and June taking a rest from all the walking.

June loved seeing so many things. She did a lot of pointing and 'oooh'ing.

Birthdays and More

Rory and I have both had birthdays this month. Rory made himself another Baked Alaska. This one consisted of a lime ice cream and a pineapple/coconut ice cream on a white cake base. It was delicious. Rory bought himself a blowtorch and had fun browning the meringue.

June had her first donut and was in baby heaven.

We've been getting snow occasionally and the girls learned how to make snowmen. Littly teeny ones.

I made myself a chocolate Swiss Roll with dark chocolate ganache for my birthday cake. We were all sad when it was gone.

We took the girls ice skating. Look at that happy face!

Even June got a turn. Rory says she was quietly laughing to herself the whole time.

What a nice Dad. He helped Lily the whole time even though it hurt his back.

June and I froze our toes off but enjoyed watching everyone.

Sister snuggle time.

Between the snow storms we've had some decent days and spent them at the park. June loved swinging and wearing her sister's hat.

The older girls played horses.

We went on a few bike rides too. It was exhausting for June.
